Am I crazy for wanting a PPL at age 30? - who issues mechanics license in ontario
I'm 28 and now back to school (not) in the air. I wanted to learn to fly, when I finished with school (if I can afford it) .. lol wait. Ten years ago I came to a medical examination and be issued a student of Class 3 (I think that is what is called). I see only one eye (20/300 vision), so I know I've never been as pilot work (but that's okay, because I want it) for fun.
I have relatives that can fly (most are from vertigo, including my husband!) And they'll all say, no, no. I have the intro lesson three times (three years) and I loved every minute. I do not know much about mechanics, but I'm willing to learn what I needed KNOW. is not always money matters, why should I take these classes (save up to 10,000 U.S. dollars and something big was that the savings (would have to come and start re not doctors things like fire, theft, etc..)
Planned a week ago, a friend of mine sit a flight from New York to Cleveland and was in the cockpit with the pilot and showed me how to back and top to bottom (let me checks, but I do not believe that to accept it? lol). Of course, it did not take off and landing, but I felt good in the air. If they are not in the cabin, was admired by the window, stuck the clouds and the night lights of the city. The turbulence does not bother me (what, like an old school bus was driving on potholes ... lol).
Anyway, I was wondering if it seems ridiculous to take me probably 30 years (until then) to take these courses just for fun? You can also mention some of the larger aircraft to fly, that only a private license can? I do not know if I am more engines or the engines could be done?

Not all crazy, so you should go ahead. When I was a teacher, many of my students well over 30
As can fly the plane. In the United States, is called a PPL only the type of flying you can do. PPL can not be paid for the flight, can play in assisting a company to fly and can cost sharing with their passengers.
To say the notes contained in your certificate that you can fly. Airplane Single Engine Land, single-engine airplanes, multi-airplane multiengine land, sea and air machine, everyone should be self-explanatory. With these values, you can everything that weigh up to 12 500 lbs can fly.
Exception: you have to fly a logbook consent to a complex airplane Court of First Instance (controllable prop, retractable landing gear and flaps). You need a logbook endorsement to fly an airplane CFI high performance is not doubled (over 200 hp engine with two motors of curiosity --- 180 hp more efficient). If the aircraft is pressurized, it requires a consent from logbook Court of First Instance.
In addition, depending on what the vision of his evil eye can be corrected and, if necessary, even granting such an exemption, the FAA, even in a position to pursue a professional career. Just a thought.
Good luck and have fun.
I took my first statement PPL 1965, I made my first entry in a record pounds in 1971 and 2001 for the 49 years I have my PPL.
I was in no hurry, and the money was not good, but I finished what I started.
And to not be ashamed.
Not at all. I am a kind of training for the PPL HES and HES 35th
No, you're crazy.
Please go and do what I love
